Pet Potraits
To create a custom pet portrait, I work from photos in order to achieve as good a likeness to your pet as possible, although the focus is mostly on their character. Photo-realism is fine, but we have photos for that. I want to concentrate on their personality.
The materials I use will depend on the animal, as different surfaces will represent different fur, fluff, and feathers in different ways. Some surfaces will work better for certain subjects, so I will advise you on the best combination to get the finish just right.
I will need a good quality photograph if possible. If the eyes are clear and have plenty of detail, then we’re halfway there. My Pet Portrait Tips page has further information.
